The Carnegie Room
The Carnegie was built and opened in 1968 and still today is the largest town centre venue for hire with a capacity of up to 300 persons dependant on seating/table configurations for your event.
The venue plays host to a diverse range of activities and events ranging from medium scaled theatre productions, wedding receptions, conferences, celebratory parties to sales and product launches, craft fairs and film shows.
The space consists of two rooms; the main auditorium, and a further areas ideal for meetings or staff training. Both are fully equipped with integrated projector and screen. The auditorium is supported by a fully equipped kitchen, stage and dressing rooms, staffed licensed bar and a dedicated events team. The Carnegie can be hired on an hourly basis of blocked for the regular hirer.
